(Ebook) The Globalization of World Politics: An Introduction to International Relations (7th Edition) by John Baylis, Steve Smith, Patricia Owens ISBN 9780198739852, 0198739850, 2016951239

In this new edition of The Globalization of World Politics we have followed a similar format and structure to previous editions, but we have added several new and exciting chapters that we believe make this already popular and successful book even better.
These alterations are based on the editors’ sense of changes that are happening within the field of International Relations, but they are also in response to feedback from students from around the world, comments from teachers and scholars of International Relations, and the more than twenty extremely detailed reviews of the sixth edition commissioned by Oxford University Press.
Together, all these comments have helped us identify a number of additional areas that should be covered. We have strengthened the section on the historical foundations of international relations by commissioning a new chapter on the rise of the modern international order. We have made the excellent section on the diversity of theoretical perspectives even better by including a new chapter on feminism.
The section on structures and process in world politics has been improved with new chapters on racism, international organizations, and NGOs. In response to requests from students, we have also added new learning features, such as framing questions at the start of each chapter, new questions to accompany each of the 66 case studies, and an ‘Opposing Opinions’ box to help students critically evaluate a key IR debate relevant to each chapter topic.
