Urban open green spaces have an important role in today's healthproblems and the necessity for the urban health to create green areas thathave high accessibility for all citizens. Acceleration of urbanization in recentdecades decays balance of green areas and impervious surfaces in citiesbecause of rent seeking society. The main problem associated withadequate provision of green area and fair access for residents. Accordingto the “Spatial Planning Policy Framework” the green area per capita inurban area (10 m²), Kırklareli doesn’t provide green space per capita. Theaim of the study is to identify the socio-psychological effects of the greenareas in the Kirklareli. Objectives of the study is to determine the correlationbetween socio- psychological criterias with green space accesiblity, percapita and visiting time and to discuss the findings rationale. The followinghypothesis was proposed “urban green areas on inhabitants have positiveeffects on human health, quality of life and stress”. In this context, a surveywas conducted to analyze the socio-psychological effects of urban greenspaces in Kirklareli.
