Artikel ini merupakan suatu kajian baru tentang ritual nyengkolan’t suku Kerabat di Sekadau, Kalimantan Barat. Kajian ini merupakan kajian antropologi linguistik dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan untuk mendokumentasikan tradisi lisan dalam ritual nyengkolan’t suku Kerabat dan melihat penggunaan bahasa dalam ritual tersebut.Kajian ini telah berhasil mendokumentasikan tata cara, pantang larang dan mantra dalam ritual nyengkolan’t. Dari perbincangan didapati bahwa penggunaan bahasa dalam mantra nyengkolan’t terdapat beberapa kata bahasa Melayu, misalnya ‘enam’, ‘kaki’, ‘sial’,‘sungai’ dan lainnya, sedangkan materi yang digunakan sebagian besar sama dengan materiayang digunakan dalam ritual suku-suku lain di Sekadau.
