These chapters discuss the influential factors of poverty in Asia and Africa, and how it enriches the section by looking into Appalachian single mothers' lived experiences from the South-eastern portion of the US. Finally, this section is enriched by looking into effects of globalization on females. It argues that despite the much acclaimed pluses of globalization there is a downside to it that impacts females negatively.
