These two global crises have restricted the sustainable development of society and become the focus of worldwide attention. In this context, the synthesis of 2D nanomaterials with higher photocatalytic activity plays a vital role in their successful applications. Synthesis methods and reaction exploration of 2D nanomaterials have become research hotspots. On the basis of the latest research, this book reviews the progress of research on photocatalysis by 2D nanomaterials in five chapters from the perspectives of material design, performance improvement and understanding of the mechanism. In Chapter 1, the authors Prof. Zhao and Prof. Duan from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Tsinghua University focus on the photocatalytic synthesis of fine chemicals and describe in detail the development course of several organic reactions via photocatalysis using 2D nanomaterials.
