(Ebook) Opening Repertoire: The Sveshnikov by Cyrus Lakdawala ISBN 9781781945636, 1781945632

ReviewSo why should someone buy this book? In my opinion the reason is simple. I cannot afford to take lessons from an IM like Lakdawala or a GM, but the questions he poses at critical moments are what one needs to improve. So buying this book or others written by Lakdawala is like having a coach at home -- Davide Nastasio, Georgia ChessI enjoyed Lakdawala's book and I think you will too. You will need time and energy to absorb it properly. There are extra chapters on the Anti-Sveshnikov, 3 Nc3 and an opening line Lakdawala calls ‘ the Mamba', where Black substitutes 6…Bc5!? for 6 …d6.I rate this book excellent, 4.5/5 stars. -- Andrew Martin, BritishChessNews.comIt is an exceptional book and clearly explains the themes and structures that are the hallmarks of this rambunctious line. As a FIDE Trainer, I am highly recommending the book to students who are looking for dynamic, piece play lines as Black -- Michael Ciamarra, World Chess Federation FIDE TrainerAbout the AuthorCyrus Lakdawala is an International Master, a former National Open and American Open Champion, and a six-time State Champion. He has been teaching chess for over 30 years, and coaches some of the top junior players in the U.S.
