(Ebook) Luftwaffe: Secret Jets of the Third Reich by Dan Sharp ISBN 9781909128705, 1909128708

Luftwaffe Secret Jets of the Third Reich - a book about unrealized projects of German jet aircraft during the Second World War. The Luftwaffe paid great attention to the development of miracle weapons, and German designers did tremendous work, which largely determined the development of jet aircraft around the world after the war. Designs for swept wing aircraft were developed, including a deep modernization of the Me-262 fighter with the transfer of two engines to the sides of the fuselage with air intakes at the root of the swept wing. Dornier was developing a hybrid modification on the Do-335 glider with a piston engine in the front and a jet in the tail. Work was carried out on exotic patterns of a flying wing, tailless tail and reverse wing sweep. Focke Wulf worked on a twin-beam aircraft similar to the English DH-98 Vampire. In these developments, many features of airplanes that were adopted several years later in the USA, the USSR and a number of other winning countries are recognized.
