Jakarta architecture+adaptation = Jakarta arsitektur+adaptasi by Etienne Turpin, Adam Bobbette, Meredith Miller. ISBN 9789794565261, 979456526 instant download

The research for this book was developed from the findings of the Joint Design Research Workshop, Designing for Hypercomplexity: Jakarta, May–June 2012. Professor Meredith Miller and Dr. Etienne Turpin of the Taubman College of Architecture, University of Michigan, and Professor Adam Bobbette from University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Architecture, Division of Landscape Architecture, organized this international studio collaboration between UMich and HKU, with Herlily and Diane Wildsmith coordinating the studio for the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. This was the first course in a collaborative, three-year research initiative called Architecture + Adaptation, which examines the compound effects of coastal and river flooding and inundation, extreme pollution, intense urbanization, and water scarcity in Southeast Asian megacities.
