(Ebook) Extreme cars by Stephen Vokins

Cars can be extreme in a number of different ways, the most obvious of which is the
capability of some to travel with indecent haste. To describe cars such as the Tiger T100
with its two Kawasaki ZX900 motorcycle engines as anything other than extreme would
undoubtedly be an understatement, whilst the AMC Pacer and the Chinese Saint Horse
Angel can equally be described as extreme cars, albeit for very different reasons.
It is no secret that my own particular motoring passion is for very fast cars, and | was
therefore delighted to see some of my own favourite kings of soeed appear in this
excellent book. The McLaren F1, Ferrari Enzo, and Porsche 959 should be undisputed
entries, whilst cars such as the Ultima CanAm and the Rinspeed Roaster SC-R may not be
as well known but are equally deserving of a mention.
Other treasures to be found in this book are the peerless Ferrari 250 GTO, the Bugatti
Royale, and the Cadillac V16, all of which are obvious entries when talking about the
extremes of perfection. But these are not the only extremes explored within these pages:
extremes of size, fuel consumption, and frightfulness make the book an entertaining, and
at times, surprising read.
