The Spanish Civil War was not just a tragedy for Spain; acting as a focus for all the different political philosophies which had simmered throughout the Thirties, it served as the proving ground for Italian, Soviet and German military theorists. Using much new previously undiscovered source material, this study looks in detail at the men, machines and units which formed the Legion Condor.
