I am a professional dog trainer of 20 years plus, I read dog books and teach dogs all day.While this has some nice ideas, I am the trainer that picks up the peices from the endless "positive training is right" garbage . Notice how many clients the writer loses on her quest to be right! Where do those clients go to be sucessfull? I use a lot of positives, but the age of endless positives needs to end. Not all dogs will work for 100 positive training. I know cause I pick up the peices everyday from dogs that will not do that. A lot of the book is reclyed stuff from the 70 and 80s trainers, with no credit given. Its an ok reclyed book, nothing new. Just a pretty picture on the front.
